On this Day, we invite you to enjoy culture, meetings and local nature together. A festive spring day celebrated all around our own Region – next time on Thursday 15 May 2025. Vantaa is hosting the event Uusimaa Day Spring Celebration.

Participate in a joint spring celebration!

The spring celebration during the Uusimaa Day is offering you regional music and culture. Celebrate on site or watch the live broadcast from Vantaa. The event is open for everyoe in three languages and is interpreted in Finnish Sign Language.

Spring Excursion for Children on 15 May

Join our spring excursion into nature!

Let’s step into local nature and spot the nature symbols of our Region: the flower, the animals and overall, any signs of spring. We challenge local day care centres and primary schools to arrange these excursions. You can print the Nature Bingo and take it with you on your own family trip.

Spring coffee for adults 15 May

Get together for a cup of coffee!

Let’s meet, enjoy each other’s company together with something warm to make us feel good on this Spring Day! We challenge municipalities, organisations, parishes and companies to arrange coffee sessions. You can also enjoy your coffee at home, inviting your family and friends – and why not the neighbours, as well.

Uusimaa Day celebrated all over our Region today, Yle Areena streaming Spring Celebration this evening

On 21 May we’ll celebrate the first Uusimaa Day ever. Tens of events will be held all around our Region. Yle Areena is streaming our Spring Celebration at 7 p.m. from Lohja.
