At the Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council, we initiate important regional development projects.
We find and bring together the most suitable partners and financiers for projects born out of the Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Programme. Naturally, we also implement projects using our own resources.

In partnership with leading European innovation valleys, Helsinki-Uusimaa is carrying out the project European Circular Innovation Valley, the ECIV. Helsinki-Uusimaa Region emphasises the importance of reforming cohesion policy as a central pillar of the EU in the upcoming programming period
The European Commission is currently preparing the financial framework for the programming period starting in 2028. The Regional Council of Helsinki-Uusimaa is actively participating in the discussion on the next financial framework and the principles of cohesion policy.
